 It is unbelievable that fish could give you a massage and exfoliate your skin. The question is, would you really soak in a bath full of fish? Well, the world of spas go beyond the human therapist; This is a new kind of spa, originating from hot springs in Turkey, where a kind of fresh water fish, commonly known as a doctor fish, will feed on the human affected and dead skin cells. Doctor fish is the name given to two species of fish: Garra rufa and Cyprinion macrostomus. Other nicknames include nibble fish, kangal fish, and doctorfishen. The fish only consume the affected and dead areas of the skin, leaving the healthy skin to grow, with the outdoor location of the treatment bringing beneficial effects. Fish spa in Japan and South Korea got more popular after news about doctor fish spread. One basically dips the legs into the pool. In a matter of seconds, these Dr.fish attack your skin, chewing at your dead skin. The initial reactions, such as tickles, and slight pain when the fish ‘bites’, though the fish has no teeth! Fish spas are not meant to be a treatment option, they are generally a skin exfoliation method and a soothing and gentle massage, and also a temporary cure for some skin conditions. Patients usually revisit the spas every few months, and some have experienced complete cure of psoriasis after repeated treatments.

Guilty as charged, I am. I buy clothes just because I must have something on my back. Shoes are divine, and those designers know just the right spot to tickle. The average shoe freak owns at least 50-80 pairs, the passionate collector own hundreds. I know some who would take one in each available color; crazy, isn’t it, but we love it so.
